Activision has put a rather unusual twist on the digital pre-order offer for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, which arrives worldwide on October 23, 2026. The reward is the Inner Circuit M4 Blueprint, and it will be ready from day one rather than sitting behind a later unlock. If you are planning to jump straight into multiplayer, Modern Warfare 4 Boosting may also appeal to players who want to keep pace with friends while trying out the new rifle.

One Blueprint, Two Platform Looks

The most interesting part is not the weapon setup itself. It is the way the rifle looks on different systems. Digital pre-orders made on Xbox Series X or Series S receive a translucent OG Green version, designed as a nod to the Xbox brand's 25th anniversary. You can see the inner workings through the body, and small controller-button details sit on the receiver. Everyone else receives the Mil-Spec finish, which uses a darker mix of brown and red. The two versions have the same attachments and perform in exactly the same way.

What Other Players See

This visual difference stays tied to the player's platform. It cannot be changed in the settings. So, if someone on PC or PlayStation picks up an Inner Circuit M4 dropped by an Xbox player, they will see the Mil-Spec appearance on their own screen. Only people playing on an Xbox Series X or Series S can view the green anniversary treatment during a match. That is a small detail, but it gives the reward a curious social angle in cross-platform lobbies.

Digital Purchase Rules

The offer applies only to digital editions. Physical copies from shops do not include the Blueprint. Eligible players have until October 23, 2027, to claim it. The reward comes with a five-part setup aimed at close and medium ranges, rather than long sightlines.

Attachment   Practical benefit
11.5-inch Shortline Barrel   Improves movement and handling
ZLR ASP50 Stock   Adds mobility with a compact profile
FTAC Dominion Muzzle   Helps manage vertical and horizontal recoil
FSS Fireline Grip   Makes sustained fire easier to control
SZ Prima-4 Dot Optic   Provides a clear close-range sight picture

Where the Loadout Fits

The barrel and stock make the M4 feel quicker when moving between cover, while the muzzle and grip steady the rifle during longer bursts. The dot sight keeps the view clean in cramped rooms and narrow lanes. You will give up some reach at distance, though, so patient players may prefer a different build. Double XP tokens earned through retail promotions can be used in regular Modern Warfare 4 Multiplayer, and in Warzone from Season 1 onward. Current details exclude DMZ, so check the redemption terms before using them. For players weighing up the digital edition, Modern Warfare 4 Boosting for sale is another option to consider alongside the platform-specific reward.
